Running with the Big Dogs!

Let your pet run free at one of Cedar Rapids’ off leash-dog parks! Cheyenne (1650 Cedar Bend Lane SW, Cedar Rapids, IA) consist of 13.8 acres of fenced yard for you and your dog to explore including walking trails, a training yard, a small dog area and more. K9Acres (5200 Golf Course Rd, Marion, IA) features 11 acres of land with similar attributes including a short walking trail, training yard, and small dog yard. Each park has waste receptacles, dog bag dispensers and water for pets available. Learn more about each park here.

And for the winter months… Check out Hawkeye Downs’ Dogs at the Downs every Wednesday from November-March. Cost is $5 per animal, and humans are free! Proof of canine vaccination is required. For more information, view the Hawkeye Downs Website.
