Amana Colonies, reimagined into 8 smaller events throughout October
In its place, Amana will be hosting 8 weekends of Autumn in Amana, a series of small weekend events that will allow us to socially distance and have a little fun. These events will begin on September 19th with Apfelfest and go through November 8th for Girls Getaway Weekend.

Haunted Garage
Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, 2020
A frightening haunted house put on in the Stoney Point area of Cedar Rapids. The Haunted Garage uses creepy visuals and sounds, creating a foreboding and tense atmosphere, and rattles your nerves with genuine scares. Admission is free, but canned food donations are encouraged! Must wear a mask, (not a Halloween mask) and practice social distancing when in line. Only groups of 3 or less will be allowed in at a time.

Swamp Fox Festival
Marion, IA, September 25-27, 2020 - Event has been canceled this year.
The Swamp Fox Festival is a variety of events around Marion, IA at Klopfenstein Amphitheater, City Square Park, and Lowe Park. Come out for food, live music and various family activities including BINGO, a bounce house, rock climbing wall and an obstacle course. The evening entertainment will be provided by Chicago’s own Spazmatics.

The Play Station - Event has been canceled this year.
The Spooky Station is a family-friendly Halloween event at The Play Station! For three spooky weekends in October, The Play Station transforms into a Halloween wonderland for kids and families. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes!
Wickiup Fall Fest is now NATURE AT NIGHT
Wickiup Hill, October 22 and October 23-25, 2020
Bring the kids to Wickiup for Nature at Night - Get your costume on and come play at the Wickiup’s Wandering Woods as we light up the playscape and add a few special surprises! Due to COVID-19, we will not be having our annual Wickiup Fall Fest this year. Instead, we will have a troll trail eye spy, storybook trail, bat toss, pumpkin bowling, photo opportunities with your costumes, and s’mores and hot cider by the campfire. We will not have prizes/trick or treating this year, so this event will be free. We WILL be giving you fresh air and a chance to show off your costumes with a little extra fun! We do ask that you pre-register for this event so we can keep the crowd size smaller this year. For all ages.
Fall Festivities Self-Guided Weekend -October 23-25. Self-serve activities include: troll trail eye spy, storybook trail, bat toss, pumpkin bowling, and fun photo opportunities. Wear your costume too! Remember to practice social distancing during this outdoor event.
Halloween Parade
NewBo/Czech Village, 2020 is canceled this year.
2019 was the 3rd year for the Halloween Parade and the year's theme was "SCARY THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT". Come in your favorite costume to view this outrageous parade. Check out activities at the NewBo City Market and in Czech Village before the parade!

A Brucemore Halloween Adventure

Children will enjoy participating in a craft, listening to Halloween stories, and trick-or-treating outside of the iconic 19th century mansion. In between activities, children and parents are invited to explore the historic estate. Space will be extremely limited, so register in advance.
