1. 2020 Virtual Thankful Turkey Event

The 2020 Virtual Thankful Turkey Event lasts from Nov. 26 - Nov. 29, 2020. Grab your commemorative gear and run this year’s 5K Thanksgiving on the course of your choosing.  Don’t forget to track your time and submit your results on Thanksgiving morning before your big dinner! It's your pre-turkey workout.

1. Pub 217

Pub 217 is open on Thanksgiving Day from 5 p.m. - 2 a.m. with a limited menu.

2.  Brick's Bar & Grill

Brick's Bar & Grill is open on Thanksgiving Day from 4 p.m. - 2 a.m.

3. The Hotel at Kirkwood Center

The Hotel at Kirkwood Center is open on Thanksgiving Day for in-person dining. Reservations required. Call 319-848-8777.

4. Need Pie?

Take & Bake

1. Vivian's Soul Food

If you want help in the kitchen this Thanksgiving, check out this offer from Vivian's Soul Food: Thanksgiving Take & Bake Promo. Beginning now through November 21st, Vivian's will be sharing a pre-order form in which customers will be able to order from a menu of specific side dishes to serve at their Thanksgiving dinner. Side dishes will be prepared, and customers can take them home with full baking directions to bake and serve for their holiday. The pre-order will require the customer to select the menu item, indicate the quantity, and pay ahead of time. There will be two pickup times scheduled in which customers can pick up their orders on Wednesday, November 27. The order form can be located here

2. The Hotel at Kirkwood Center

Take & Bake dinners at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center can be picked up on November 24th and 25th, 2020. Orders start at $88 and serve between 4-5 people. Options include traditional Thanksgiving features such as roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and assorted desserts. Orders must be placed by November 20th. 3. NewBo City Market Shopkeepers

NewBo City Market Shopkeepers are at it again cooking up delicious, home-cooked mains, sides, and desserts for your holiday table. Ordering is totally a la carte style so please feel free to order a lot or a little. Ordering will be OPEN until Saturday, November 21. PICK-UP is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25 from 12-6 pm. Order here.

4. Cobble Hill

Cobble Hill's special Thanksgiving takeout menu is available to order through November 21 with pickup November 24-25. Details here.

In a non-traditional year, order a non-traditional Thanksgiving meal from Caucho. Think margaritas to go, pumpkin tamales, and more! Order by Nov. 21 for pick up on Nov. 24-25.

6. Bistro 3 Nineteen

Lightworks take and bake menu includes Lightworks classics as well as some recipes inspired by their own family's Thanksgiving dinners. Menu items are priced for 2 people unless stated otherwise and are easy to multiply in case you are feeding more than two. Mix and match. Thanksgiving Weekend Shopping

Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 28, 2020.

1. Uptown Marion

2. Shop Small & Shop Local in The District

Cedar Rapids Main Street will be filling 200 Shop Small Bags with promotions, merchandise, gift cards, and discounts from businesses located in the Czech Village and New Bohemian neighborhoods. At 10 am shoppers can stop at the GIANT Cherry located on the 11th Avenue side of the Cherry Building and pick up their American Express Shop Small bags and get all their Holiday Shopping done locally.
