Presenting this year’s Kirkwood Community College spring play, “The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus,” by Eric Coble! This Theatre for Young Audiences production will be performed Thursday through Saturday, March 28-30, by adult actors for young people, their families, and the community in Ballantyne Auditorium on Kirkwood Community College’s campus.

Presenting this year's Kirkwood Community College spring play, "The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus," by Eric Coble! This Theatre for Young Audiences production will be performed Thursday through Saturday, March 28-30, by adult actors for young people, their families, and the community in Ballantyne Auditorium on Kirkwood Community College's campus. Tickets are limited for each show, and attendees will enjoy sitting close to the action -- right on stage! (ADA accessible seating is available.) Tickets are available online at https://kirkwoodarts.simpletix.com/​ (and at the door) and are FREE for all people under 18 as well as Kirkwood students, faculty, and staff; and they're just $5 for adults ages 18 and over. In this show, school is out for the summer, and eight-year-old Sheila is in for the adventure of a lifetime! Join Sheila and her friends on a daredevilish, whirlwind of a quest through the desert and a glorious pile of junk to defeat the Sting Brigade, the Council of Howls, the Death Cactus, and more. "The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus" is a 60-minute mystical and magical adventure best for ages five and up. Join us 45 minutes before the show for a free craft (to be used during the show!), and stick around after the performance to get autographs from the performers.
