The Kirkwood Community College Civic and Community Engagement Committee invites all interested members of the community to join a public discussion of how to improve Iowa’s water quality. This event will be held on Thursday, April 18, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. in Iowa Hall Room A on Kirkwood’s main campus in Cedar Rapids. Free and open to the public—please join us!

The Kirkwood Community College Civic and Community Engagement Committee invites all interested members of the community to join a public discussion of how to improve Iowa's water quality. This event will be held on Thursday, April 18, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. in Iowa Hall Room A on Kirkwood's main campus in Cedar Rapids. Free and open to the public -- please join us! The state has a plan for reducing nutrient runoff from farm fields, in which participation by farmers is voluntary. But critics say the state plan isn't working fast enough, and that farmers should be required to adopt practices that reduce runoff. Which approach is best? Pizza and drinks will be provided.
