Emil’s Hideaway is located just off of 1st Avenue across from Lindale Mall and earns their name by being hidden away behind Taco Johns and 2nd Wind Fitness (next to Home Depot).

The reward for finding your way into Emil’s is food so unbelievably delicious that you’ll wish you could hide out there forever.

Many locals will argue that Emil’s Hideaway serves up the best casual dining food in the city. Their famous burgers are ground fresh in-house, seared on a flat grill to lock in the flavor, then finished off with premium toppings. The BBQ burger (pictured) is loaded with bacon, fried onion strings and homemade BBQ sauce. Another favorite burger is the Southwest, with grilled green chilies, apple jack cheese and those awesome onion strings which add great flavor and texture. You have never experienced a burger that actually melts in your mouth until you order one at Emil’s.

When you serve up one of the best burgers in the state, you could stop there, but it is the variety of cuisine Emil’s Hideaway offers that sets them apart. The owners have over 20 years of experience in the deli business and it shows with the long list of tasty sandwiches they create, many of which feature meats sliced in-house and served hot. The menu also features pizzas with creative toppings like in-house smoked pork or shrimp and fried wontons. The pasta options include Lobster Mac n Cheese and the signature Hideaway Pasta with roasted chicken, jumbo shrimp and bacon, tossed in a creamy parmesan marsala sauce. Emil’s Hideaway serves it all! Don’t be so excited about the entrees that you skip over the starters because you’ll be sorry if you miss out on the Dynamite Shrimp or Spicy Chicken Rangoons.

The ambiance inside is very hip, with dim lighting and pops of color throughout. There is a massive bar where they serve up a huge selection of beer and killer cocktails, with plenty of TVs to watch the game.
