Lu’s Deli

Traditional deli fare in New Bohemia.

At Lu’s Deli, in the heart of New Bohemia, you can expect fresh salads, made-to-order sandwiches, hearty homemade soups and cookies baked from scratch.

Owner Laurie Konechy has been using family recipes in the deli business in Cedar Rapids for nearly 20 years. Now with Lu’s Deli she’s found new opportunities in a bustling neighborhood.

To those with knowledge of Cedar Rapids history, you may notice that Lu’s Deli is on the site of the former White Elephant, a historic building that has since been moved. Even with a new building, the deli pays homage to the history of the site with the old White Elephant sign prominently displayed, and salvaged wood and doors used throughout the new space.

Lu’s also has a partnership with a Cedar Rapids’ icon, Donutland, which has become extremely popular reason to stop by.

The #1 seller at the self-proclaimed old-fashioned, traditional deli is Lu’s Chicken Salad - fresh chicken breast, relish, celery and Lu's special dressing. Pair it with a warm bowl of soup and one of Mom’s chocolate chip cookies for a meal with all the comforts of home!

Stop in daily and enjoy both indoor and outdoor seating. Lu’s Deli also caters and is available for private events like bridal showers, corporate meetings and more.
