The room was built in 1914 to keep quiet. We have other plans. On the last Friday of every month, The Ideal Theater and Bar turns its old silent-film house into the one floor in Cedar Rapids tuned to move you, house opening into bass, riddim, and techno, in a room small enough that the whole floor moves as one. 21 and up, curated floor, craft cocktails in hand. Doors at 9 PM. $15 at the door, or RSVP and make it $10.
