A quiet escape located adjacent to the Marion Enterprise Center, east of Highway 13 and south of Highway 151. Marion’s newest park features a granite boulder which was deposited during the last Ice Age. The boulder is surrounded by a pond, which will be stocked and ready for fishing in 2019. It also features an open air pavilion, loop trail, natural prairie and a trail connection to the Grant Wood Trail.
It’s always fun to get outdoors. This year, challenge yourself to take in a new vantage point around the Cedar Rapids area. At a few local spots, it’s not only easy to do so, but also a fun-filled adventure.
