Bike Lanes
As a bicycle-friendly community, Cedar Rapids encourages locals and visitors alike to bicycle for fun, fitness and transportation. The first city in Iowa to install protected bike lanes (separating cyclists from the vehicle travel lane) and green bike lanes (featured on 3rd Street SE, installed 50 feet in advance of and after intersections) to help highlight potential conflict areas. Bike Share
Cedar Rapids offers electric-assist bikes, scooters and sit-down scooters supported by 90 designated green parking stations throughout the city. Each year VEO devices are distributed into the community on April 1st and removed for the winter season on October 31st.

City Buses
Cedar Rapids Transit provides affordable, convenient and safe transportation throughout the city. Buses are even equipped with bike racks. Visit cedar-rapids.org/residents/city_buses for up-to-date route information.
Downtown Skywalks
The 15-block skywalk system which snakes through the Cedar Rapids downtown connecting parking ramps and buildings began in 1963. Visitors can stay warm and dry during inclement weather while still getting the full Cedar Rapids experience. Find the map at parkcedarrapids.com.

- Meters enforced Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Park in an open spot, note zone number, find nearest kiosk, enter license plate number, enter time needed
- On-street kiosk accepts coins, bills or credit card. Off-street kiosks only accept credit/debit cards.
