The Cedar Rapids area is well known for the plentiful arts and culture in the area. Local galleries and museums are filled with art available for your viewing pleasure.
The History Center – Local art and artifacts (including The Douglas Mansion itself– The History Center’s home) tell the stories of the past connecting people to the present and future of Linn County.
Iowa Masonic Library & Museum - The Library’s Masonic Museum houses a three-paneled painting entitled, “The First Three Degrees of Freemasonry” the only known Masonic painting of Iowa artist Grant Wood. From Babylonian tablets and ancient Egyptian tomb art, the museum’s treasures seem to be endless.
National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library – Art is all around the Museum and incorporated into the exhibits, but take special note of the art on display outside the exhibits as you navigate throughout the space.
