The area is home to over 100 miles of trails, numerous parks and recreational areas.

Here are a few of our top outdoor activities and highlights to explore:

Indian Creek Nature Center

This beautiful escape offers four miles of trails and plenty of interactive opportunities for visitors to learn about the local environment and wildlife. With indoor and outdoor exhibits and ongoing events in the amphitheater, there is plenty to do and see at the Indian Creek Nature Center all year round.

Old MacDonald’s Farm in Bever Park

The perfect family outdoor activity from May to October. Visit Old MacDonald’s Farm in Bever Park to see Chickens, Lamb, Cattle, Goats and other animals. The farm offers educational programming and ongoing events too!

Cedar River Trail

Cruise this smooth 12.6 mile trail past Cedar Lake and Cedar River to enjoy seasonal vegetation, wildflowers, and native wildlife. The Cedar River Trail trail runs right through downtown Cedar Rapids and is popular for running, walking, and bicycling or rollerblading too.
