Preview of Heritage Caretakers of Moravia Exhibit

Do you want to learn a traditional Moravian folk art practice? Join Czech-American artist, Sonya Darrow, for a workshop that explores the technique of painted folk motifs (malování lidové motivy) with patterns designed by legendary Moravian folk artist, Marie Švirgová. The painted folk motifs will be part of the exhibition: Heritage Caretakers of Moravia — join us for this unique opportunity to take part in the exhibition!

Saturday, February 15: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, February 16: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

This workshop will last 2-3 hours and is meant for teenagers and adults.

You can see the completed painted folk motifs (malování lidové motivy) and meet the practitioner, Marie Švirgová, at the opening of Heritage Caretakers of Moravia on February 27th starting at 5:30 p.m. A special panel discussion on folk art practices will be held at 7:00 p.m.
