Praying together is a sacred, communal practice that creates a positive field of healing energy for the whole of Creation.

Praying together is a sacred, communal practice that creates a positive field of healing energy for the whole of Creation. Come to Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) over the lunch hour for group prayer and meditation on the first five Fridays of Lent (March 8–April 5). Our time together will include an opening reading on a weekly theme, silent prayer or meditation, and a closing. The weekly themes are Wilderness and the Desert Within (March 8), Stardust and Compost (March 15), Creation and Chaos (March 22), Exile: From Me to We (March 29) and Returning to Love: Radical Inclusion (April 5). You are welcome to bring a lunch to eat after our time of prayer. This five-week series will be facilitated by Prairiewoods Eco-Spirituality Coordinator Emelia Sautter. There is a suggested donation of $5 per session (which will be collected at the door), and you are welcome to attend as many sessions as you are available. Registration is not necessary. For more information, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
