Brucemore is a living landmark that charts the history and legacy of Cedar Rapids. Its story is a lens to the past, reminding us of the people, the events, and the drive that shaped who we are and who we strive to become. Brucemore was home to three generations of leaders--the Sinclairs, Douglases, and Halls. Now maintained and shared by an independent non-profit, Brucemore is an irreplaceable asset for the community and a powerful reminder that our shared history belongs to everyone. The 26-acre, park-like estate invites exploration of its history, gardens, grounds, and mansion built between 1884 and 1886.
