Kathryn Levin • We are Family
"Family is the foundational force of my life, linked to my choices and how I show up in the world. It is also a universal theme in many lives. I find it interesting how differently, and also similarly, very different individuals feel and function regarding family. We Are Family incorporates publicly and privately shared thoughts of patrons from previous interactive displays in the Paint Soup Studio, along with my own personal views. In this exhibit, I am considering a variety of perspectives, while also sharing pieces of my soul." This exhibition is a family-friendly display, intended to be joyful and thought-provoking. Patrons can expect to find fun, interactive parts, along with a wide range of multimedia pieces. Light refreshments will be served. Exhibition on display through April 30, 2026.
In the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio's Chadima Gallery, enjoy a co-exhibition featuring individual works by Kirsten Heteji and Alanna Veitch. ‘Circle Back’ reflects on each artist’s personal approach to revisiting familiar techniques and concepts through a fresh lens of creation. Both artists explore the cyclical nature of the psyche, yet they differ greatly in how they think through and engage with their making process.

Be. Jeweled by Gae Sharp Richardson - Commons Gallery
Mixed Media Artist, RICHARDSON collects the black & white images at estate sales and second hand stores. The people in the photographs call her name: “Are you curious, Gae?” She is, and she takes them home and studies the slight smiles. The vacant stares. The quiet hands. The chairs. The tables. The clothes.
