Gingerbread House Party at NewBo Market!

NewBo City Market will be hosting the Gingerbread House Party for a second year on December 21, beginning at noon!

This year's event will include free gingerbread cookie decorating for kids, limited addition gingerbread beer on tap and of course the Gingerbread House Decorating Competition!
 
This year, there are two competition categories available, Adult/Small Group and Family Team.
 
Only one person per team need register on Eventbrite prior to the event. This is encouraged, as last year’s event sold out of competition entries!
 
Each team will receive one gingerbread house and access to an array of available frostings and decorations. Participants are encouraged to bring their own decorations with them to fulfill their vision (within reason, as determined by Market staff).
 
Participants are encouraged to decorate with their own unique vision. Winners will be selected by a panel of celebrity judges, including Alisabeth Von Presley, chosen by NewBo City Market staff. Prizes have been generously donated by Linn Area Credit Union. The Best Family Team prize is a $50 Visa Card and the Best Adult/Small Group Prize is a $100 Visa Card, runner ups receive participation gifts from Hy- Vee.
 
The competition will begin at 2 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. sharp. Although, the party will be on from noon till 4 p.m. and will include holiday jams, free cookie decorating for kids, appearances by Santa and Gingie the Gingerbread Man, gingerbread lattes at Roasters Coffee and limited release Gingerbread Beer from Confluence Brewing!
