Wine, Aps, and Clay or Glass Crafting

Join us in the studio for some wine, light appetizers. We'll teach you a bit about clay or glass and you can get a little dirty - and have a lot of fun!  No experience is necessary.  In each class you will create a piece of art that is yours to keep,  we will let you know when to stop back in to pick up your finished/fired piece. Wine and appetizers are included in the registration fee. MUST BE 21 TO JOIN US.

June 10th - Raku with Obvarra TechniqueThis is a beautiful RAKU technique that is sweeping the ceramics culture. When the work is glowing hot from the RAKU fire, glaze your work then dunk it in an Obvara mix (a fermented yeast, flour and sugar mixture). Then the work "processes" until you neutralize in water. Some very interesting works can be created using this technique.  No experience necessary!  Registration includes wine and light hors d’oeuvres6:30-9:00 pm $30/person

June 17th - XL House Numbers from ClayThis is an Extra Large version of our FNO series, in this class you will create a series of stylized numbers (out of clay) to display on your home.  You will use colorful underglazes and slips to decorate them and they will be fired in our kilns.  These clay numbers will last for years on your home. Registration includes wine and light hors d’oeuvres
