Art Walk First Thursdays is a free ongoing monthly art event created to showcase new gallery exhibits in the district by local, regional and national artists—in various visual arts and mediums.
In additional to gallery openings, participating galleries may also have artist’s lectures and demos and receptions for the artists.

Art Walk First Thursdays is a free ongoing monthly art event created to showcase new gallery exhibits in the district by local, regional and national artists-- in various visual arts and mediums.
In additional to gallery openings, participating galleries may also have artist’s lectures and demos and receptions for the artists. This event strives to expose participants to various mediums of art as well as the artists who created them. These events are open to the public and free of charge. For art collectors, participating galleries will also have items available for sale.
Included in the May 6th Art Walk:
Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio will host a gallery exhibition and talk via Facebook LIVE at 6pm. Featured this month: 'Love, Grandma' by artist Molly Becker. Her work will be displayed from April 27th – May 9th. Molly's exhibition is the fourth in a series of Resident Artist Shows in the Chadima Gallery at the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio (ICCGS). The Resident Artist program provides yearly opportunities for Artists around the country to teach and develop their craft. The Center maintains a vibrant Artist Residency Program, as well as studio space, equipment and master classes for serious amateur and professional artists. Our Annual Resident Artist Gallery Exhibitions and Gallery Talks are a great peek into each one of their artistic process--with a full body of gallery work.
