The 2025 Linn County Master Gardener Plant Sale will be held at Lowe Park in Marion on Friday, May 9 and Saturday May 10. The Charlene Woeste Memorial Plant Sale is a fundraiser for the Linn County Master Gardeners and proceeds go to support educational programming throughout the county.

Shop for an amazing selection of annuals, vegetables, perennials, native plants and more! You'll find heirloom veggies and so many of our personal favorite varieties - tried and true for years by our Master Gardeners. All of our plants are grown and propagated locally in the Lowe Park greenhouse or the homes of our Master Gardeners.

Come and shop for quality plants and chat with our Master Gardeners. You'll leave with everything you need to garden successfully this year!

The Charlene Woeste Memorial Plant Sale is a fundraiser for the Linn County Master Gardeners and proceeds to go support educational programming throughout the county. So named for the Lifetime Master Gardener volunteer, Charlene Woeste, who spent years developing the sale and donating plants from her own vast gardens. Today, Charlene's daughters, Karen and Wanda, continue her legacy by helping to facilitate the annual plant sale as Linn County Master Gardeners. Proceeds from this event go towards funding Linn County Master Gardener programming in our communities. The Master Gardener program is an educational and volunteer service organization of the Iowa State University (ISU) College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and ISU Extension and Outreach. Through the leadership, instruction, and hands-on assistance provided by Master Gardeners, the broad resources of Iowa State University are extended to benefit Iowans at the local level and enhance the quality of life in Iowa communities.
