The 4th of July and fireworks are what the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival was founded upon. With that in mind, we set out to make sure we could get the very best fireworks show possible. With the blessing from the City of Cedar Rapids, this year’s fireworks display will be just that.

No Frills. Just Fireworks!

The Freedom Festival has grown to offer the Corridor the largest fireworks display in Iowa on the 4th of July! Sit back and enjoy the music of today and yesterday's hits while we put on the show of the year. The fireworks show is choreographed by J&M Displays.

WHERE CAN I SIT TO HAVE THE BEST VIEW? 
The fireworks display will be shot off of the 1st Avenue Bridge.
The 2nd Avenue Bridge will be open for entry beginning at 7 PM (no early entry)
Wear your Freedom Festival button for free entry (kids 8 and under do not need a button), or purchase them at the gate.
We will not be hosting a concert at the McGrath Amphitheatre.
Food/drink vendors will be available, but no additional kid's programming
(face painting, balloon twisters, trend jump, etc).
The first 500 kids will receive a bag with kids activity book courtesy of Z102.9 and The Gazette.

WHAT I CAN / CANNOT BRING:
No pets, sparklers, firecrackers or any other type of fireworks are not permitted.
Soft sided coolers only. No glass. We will have bag checks as you enter the seating area.
