Get Active in the Main Street District

Dust off your ten-speed and get those New Year's Resolution impulse buys out of the box-- winter is finally over!

The Czech Village New Bohemia Main Street District has mapped out an easy 5k through the district to get you through the trail closures near lot 44 and at C St. and Bowling this summer.

They also have a bike friendly map for you with bike rack locations, and outdoor seating availability.

Some Businesses to visit to get you going:

EduSkate – Is all about preserving the positive attributes in skateboarding. They are a small mom and pop shop that is born from necessity to save the spirit of skateboarding.

Goldfinch Cyclery — CR’s friendly neighborhood bike shop, Goldfinch is a one stop shop for all things cycling. From repairs to rentals, they have everything you need to enjoy the trails this summer.

Iowa Running Company — Newly opened, Iowa Running Company is a specialty store for runners of every level. Kickstand –The perfect place to catch your breath after (or before, not judging) you’ve hit the trail,

KickStand is a “Biker Bar” with plenty of outdoor seating and great selection of local beers. Stop by for lunch or dinner any day of the week.

NewBo Bike Collective — Bohemian bicycle builders, NewBo Bike Collective rehabs bicycles of every style and vintage.

Red Ball Printing — No bike? No problem. In addition to their embroidery, screen printing, and graphic design services, Red Ball offers bike rentals.

Bike not quite trail ready? Stop by repair stands at Parlor City Pub & Eatery and NewBo City Market.
